Lay Evangelist

Born in Morrinsville, North Island of New Zealand, 1940. Educated at Morrinsville Primary and Morrinsville College. My highest marks were 48 out of 100 showing that I was a slow learner.

Offered a job in the Commercial Bank of Australia in Morrinsville and this led to a career in the Financial Services industry spanning 65 years.

Married in 1962 and had three daughters.

My spiritual history was that I started in the Baptist Church then sent to the Presbyterian Church. After marriage chose to join the Roman Catholic Church. Because of Vatican II changing their teachings we left that church. For the first 30 years of my life, I had a connection with Christian churches but didn’t have a connection with Jesus Christ or know the Bible.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church studied the Bible topically with me, and I joined that church on 13 February 1971.

As a Lay Evangelist, I have enjoyed teaching people the Bible topically in five different countries: New Zealand, Australia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa.

My greatest pleasure is seeing people realise that there is a heaven to win and a hell to shun and it all hinges on the choices they make. How can they make that choice if they do not get the opportunity to understand the supreme God of the universe’s plan for their lives? And it is all spelt out in the Bible.

Because we live in a visual society I discovered that people learn best when they can be taught visually.
